CMDA Trade Delegation to China 15th-20th April 2026


The Calcutta Machinery Dealers Association (CMDA) proudly organized its 1st Historic Trade Delegation to Guangzhou, China, marking a new milestone in international business collaboration. The 5 Nights / 6 Days delegation, held from 15th to 20th April 2026, aimed to strengthen trade relations between India and China and create new opportunities for the machinery and industrial sector. This prestigious delegation was supported by the Consulate General of China and CCPIT Guangdong, China, making it a significant achievement for CMDA and its members. Delegates visited the world-renowned 139th Canton Fair – 1st Phase, where they interacted with global exhibitors, explored advanced technologies, and identified promising business prospects. The all-inclusive delegation package offered a premium experience including airfare from Kolkata to Guangzhou and back, airport transfers, luxury accommodation in 5-star hotels, Indian vegetarian meals, visa assistance, and local transportation. Delegates also enjoyed sightseeing activities, including the famous Pearl River Cruise and a one-day industrial visit to Shenzhen, popularly known as the Silicon Valley of China. One of the highlights of the visit was the exclusive strategic meeting with CCPIT Guangdong Committee. Mr. Chen Guoqing, Vice President of CCPIT Guangdong, warmly welcomed Mr. Amitabh Dassani, President of Calcutta Machinery Dealers Association, along with the CMDA delegation team. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral trade relations, industrial cooperation, and future business opportunities between Indian and Chinese enterprises. The CMDA delegation was present in full strength during the interaction with CCPIT officials and invited Chinese companies. Both sides exchanged ideas and discussed ways to expand trade partnerships for mutual growth and long-term cooperation. Felicitations were exchanged between Mr. Amitabh Dassani and Mr. Chen Guoqing as a symbol of friendship and professional collaboration between the two organizations. A special moment during the visit was the appointment and felicitation of Mr. Nari Buxani as the Guangzhou Representative of Calcutta Machinery Dealers Association, which further strengthened CMDA’s international presence. CMDA leadership expressed pride and gratitude towards the Consulate General of China at Kolkata and CCPIT Guangdong Committee for recognizing and supporting this historic initiative. The delegation reflected CMDA’s vision of building stronger global trade relations and providing greater business opportunities to its member community.
